Matthew’s Counters are the dedicated parishioners who count our weekly offertory. The group name was taken from the Disciple, Matthew, who was a tax collector and oversaw the counting of revenues. While our offertory is not a tax, the task of counting the weekly collections requires many hands, both for security and efficiency reasons. Kate O’Brien and Diane Amato coordinate four rotating groups of parishioners who donate their time one morning a month to get this task done.
