Create a community of support within the Parish for the prevention of possible child abuse. Team members act as a resource to the Parish on issues of child abuse and neglect.

Create a community of support within the Parish

Duties/Responsibilities:

Participate as a workshop presenter of Protecting God's Children Program (VIRTUS), provide consultation and support to anyone in the Parish who has concerns about reporting abuse.

Qualifications:

Selected by the Pastor, professional skills in related fields (nurse, educator, psychologist, social worker, etc.), CORI required.

Training:

2 day VIRTUS training session provided by the Archdiocese of Boston, online support.

Time of Ministry:

Determined by the Team, workshops are 2-3 hours long.

Length of Commitment:

3 year term with option to renew.
