7A - Ms. Martha Murphy
"In today’s sharp sparkle, this winter air, anything can be made, any sentence begun. On the brink, on the brim, on the cusp — praise song for walking forward in that light."
Elizabeth Alexander
Seventh grade begins your junior high journey. The walk across the street means more than the actual number of steps it takes to arrive at your new front door. A new building, new uniform, new expectations, and new teachers may leave you feeling overwhelmed, but I assure you that you are well prepared for what lies ahead. Anything is possible this year. Set your mind for success and you will achieve it.
Science:
We will study Life Sciences in our seventh grade science classes, focusing on the form, function, and structure of living organisms including humans. There is more to your body’s systems than you could ever imagine. What a perfectly functioning machine!
English:
This year we will focus on the refinement of your writing skills. Our composition assignments will incorporate our study of grammar and help to expand everyday vocabulary.
